You’ve been at war
with yourself for too long

Despite all you’ve accomplished and overcome in your life, you still don’t feel like you measure up. Deep down you believe you are flawed, broken, and “not good enough” to achieve your dreams. You struggle with self-criticism and self-defeating thoughts and behaviors. You’ve spent a lifetime giving your all to everyone and everything, while neglecting your own needs and desires. You’re growing weary and tired of trying to keep everything together. Everyone thinks you have it all together, but on the inside, you battle self-doubt, loneliness, and insecurity. You’ve survived a trauma and can’t move past the guilt and shame. You struggle with forgiving yourself for the past. You have difficulty setting boundaries and asking for what you need in relationships.

Life is too short to
spend it at war with yourself

We’d like to partner with you and show you a new way of relating to yourself. Leveraging over 15+ years of professional training and lived experiences, we will teach you how to treat yourself with kindness, acceptance, and respect. is possible to know your worth and value. You can heal from the past and trust yourself again. You can care for others without neglecting yourself. You deserve to experience the same love and care you so generously give to others.

Our Philosophy

“One of the best guides to how to be self-loving is to give ourselves the love we are often dreaming about receiving from others.” bell hooks

At your core, you are whole, complete, and lacking nothing. Sometimes the trauma we endure, and unfortunate life circumstances cause us to believe otherwise. The services we provide help you to connect to the truth of who you are. We will show you how to let go of false narratives and habits that no longer serve you so that you can experience more joy, fulfillment, and purpose in life.

We believe self-love is the foundation for making progress in every area of life. When you love yourself, it changes how you show up in every area of your life—relationships, work, family, friends, and community.

Self-love is a practice, not a destination at it looks different for everyone. Taking your unique needs, background, and goals into account, we will develop a treatment plan that closes that gap between where you are and where you want to be in life. We use research-supported therapies to guide you on a pathway to deeper self-awareness, self-kindness, and self-care.

When you love yourself,
it changes everything

Self-Love & Progress Center, LLC is an organization that uses evidence-based practices to help people who have experienced trauma:

  • Regain sight of their strengths

  • Develop healthier relationships with themselves and others,  and

  • Create lives that are balanced, meaningful, and value-aligned.

We support clients through difficult life transitions and help bring about change from a place of self-love.

We specialize in helping individuals who have experienced interpersonal trauma heal from PTSD and other trauma related challenges. We use a blend of mindfulness, acceptance, relational, and cognitive-behavioral approaches to support clients. We believe it is important to acknowledge the ways that cultural expectations, systemic oppression, and bias impact the way we think and behave. Therefore, we explore how societal and cultural factors shape beliefs (about self and other) and behavior. Individual therapy appointments are 50-55 minutes and typically occur weekly or bi-weekly. All individual therapy appointments are currently being provided via telehealth using a HIPAA-compliant platform.

While there is much talk about self-care in today’s society, life can be so fast-paced and busy that it seems nearly impossible to find time for self-care. Dr. Gobin offers self-care coaching and workshops that demystify self-care while offering inspiration and practical tips for taking better care of yourself—mind, body, and spirit. During Self-Care Coaching and Workshops, Dr. Gobin draws on themes from her bestselling books, The Self-Care Prescription and The Self-Care Prescription Journal, to share proven strategies that work for every area of life. Dr. Gobin is available for one-on-one self-care coaching as well as group-based trainings and workshops that can be tailored to meet your company’s needs and interests.

Every relationship has highs and lows. When the lows outnumber the highs, this could be a sign that coupes therapy may be beneficial. We enjoy helping couples who are stuck in painful patterns learn new ways of communicating and relating to one another.
